Just found out that Easy Jet have published flights for next summer. Some incredible prices especially to Paphos. Work out better than Monarch even allowing for extra travel costs to the North.

You must have a different site to me , as you have to pay everything as an extra, plus your taxi to Paphos & return.

I will be sticking to good old tried & tested Pegasus Ercan - Stanstead- Ercan.

You can only book up until 31st March with Easyjet. I did get a return flight from Gatwick to Larnaca for March, including bag and speedy boarding for £115 & Gatwick far more convenient for me than Stansted.

The flights for April have been released today. We checked them earlier. At least you do not have to pay for on line check in as you do for Monarch and there is much better leg room. However like most people I would prefer to fly to Ercan but over the last couple of years we have found the flight times awful and expensive as we use Manchester Airport.

I saved £100 last year flying Gatwick to Istanbul then Pegasus to Ercan. I had a wait of one hour on the way out but 4 hours on the way home . They may have changed their flight times for next year. It's worth a look .

Just checked Monarch. If you check in on line it may be free but you have to pay for allocated seats. So in other words you have to pay for these at the time of booking or when you check in. They get you either way. With Easy Jet (unless things have changed) you can check in on line and no seats are allocated. Part of the fun is rushing to get the seat you wan when you board the plane.

We usded CTA until the death.Never found the staff rude far from it!.Usually we were also lucky to secure an exit seat on checking in.In fairness to some of your posters some of their aircraft lacked comfort at times.

phafos to the border in an un-insured trnc taxi - that sounds like a risky experience.............

suddenly flying to Ercan makes a lot of sense, even if it costs a few quid more..............
