We are coming to Esentepe in May to check on progress on our new villa and sort out some details. Can anyone recommend a good hotel in the area, as we don’t want to drive from Kyrenia each day? All suggestions welcomed!

Acapulco Beach Club & Resort Hotel

Only 10 minutes to the golf course

http://www.acapulco-cyprus.com/

Alkan Holiday Village

Only 5 minutes to the golf course

http://www.gonorthcyprus.com/alkan.asp

There are no hotels in the Esentepe area except Alkan and the neartest one after Alkan would be the Acapulco.

It depends on what you are looking for, if you want a cosy, friendly hotel then the recently opened 'Esentepe Villa Hotel' in Esentepe village is perfect. Fabulous views and now managed by Gengis, late of 'The Address Restaurant' and 'Palmera Rouge' in Girne will ensure good food and service. - Follow this link -

Have to agree with coffer,I believe now they even offer Airport transfers if you plan to fly in to Larnaca or Paphos.

I only know one hotel in Esentepe, the Alkan, although it calls itself a Holiday Village. The accommodation consists of self-contained ‘bungalows’, but these are bungalows Cypriot-style, with an upstairs! See a pic at http://www.gonorthcyprus.com/alkan.asp

Oops - Izzet's got there first on that pic! I'll try and find another!

maybe some read the last posts first. I tried that facility as I was getting repetive strain injury going through the 700 odd posts on the K5 posts, but decided i like to read them in sequance. Find it easier to follow. However I did think it strange to bring this back x

No forgiveness necessary... I did realise you'd put the same info on the other thread.

On the ball? ... Me? Surely some mistake.

Somebody please close it before it takes on a life of its own....

We stayed at the Esentepe Villa Hotel several years ago when we came to view properties...food was good, staff were great but God was it noisy! Problems with hot wate too which I suspect is now sorted but as for the noise... spoilt it for us.

3 1/2 years should be long enough for the Esentepe hotel to have cleaned the rooms. They hadn't bothered to clean anything last time I stayed there under current management.
