I'd like to go to the Efes Blues festival when in Cyprus next week, but can anyone tell me exactly where the hotel is please?

I've tried their website, but all it says is "1km from Girne" which is pretty unhelpful. So, is it east or west of Girne ? Is it on the coast or inland? Any nearby landmarks?

I know the assumption is that every tourist in the TRNC is in Kyrenia, but not all of us are (I'll be staying in Famagusta, but will have a hire car).

It's on the west side and on the right hand side, you really can't miss it. It's before the army base on the west side of Girne.

We went to see Tarkan there in 2008 and had to park the car wherever we could get it parked and then walk about 10 mins to the hotel.

Jasmine Court hotel is quite easy to find in Girne.

See the map at the foot of this page ... http://www.jasmine.com.tr/default.asp?islem=menudetay&id=708&catid=1&title=CONTACT

... you can move the map about, zoom in and out, display road names too.

As you come through the mountain and approach Girne, from Lefkosa, you will reach a roundabout at the end of the dual carriageway. Turn left. The road will be dual carriageway of sorts, ie the "up" and "down" road lanes are divided by low-level blocks. Continue along this road, crossing over three roundabouts, until the road becomes two way traffic, ie no "up"/"down" separator. You will probably have driven no more than a mile along this road from the point your joined it at the Girne roundabout...

There is a large Jasmine Court hotel and casino sign on the right hand side of the road as one is starting to come out of Girne. Look out for the sign. Turn right when you see the sign and follow your nose down to the hotel.

Thanks everyone, I'm sure I'll find it now.

The Efes Blues festival sounds like an event not to be missed!

Try and get tickets as early before the event as possible as they are going fast.

msg 3.... Continue along this road, crossing over three roundabouts,

There's the water roundabout, after Ezic, by the park, then the one that offers left to Temmuz 20 stadium, right to the town centre. The right turn to Jasmine Court is about 200 metres after this. Unless they've put another roundabout in or my memory is fading, most likely the second, don't look for the third roundabout, it's beyond Guzelyert, on the Lefkosa road. Mebbe

That should be Arcelik, not Ezic
