Good evening i will be in this resort on august 2012.

i have spoken with director of the resort (paul gould and beyaz Kagan) they had offered to me a week for 245£ in august.

they have written to me with email longbeachcyprus@kibrisonline.com when i have seen that the email of website is lonbeachcyprus@yahoo.com i don't know why.

however i would to know if near the hotel there are pubs or resturants to go or if famagusta is near to go by taxi (and how much to go?)

the beach is sandy or in the sea there are rocks? thank you very much for your information!

Famagusta is 30 mins from Bogaz with Longbeach on the way, but nearer to Famagusta. That streatch of the coast is amazing with lovely golden sands. Well worth a visit.

A taxi should cost around 25/30 TL for that trip.

There are buses which pass there, Iskele/GaziMagusa route - about 1 per hour but I cannot vouch for punctuality.

Maybe you take a taxi into Gazi and bus it back. The bus Stn is near to the European Hotel where there is also a large taxi rank. The 'old town' is about a 10/15 minute walk from the bus stn depending upon your level of fitness.

I would guess thet a taxi fare to Bogaz would be 15/20 TL that is where most Restaurants are too be found. I would further guess there may not be too many within walking distance of the hotel you mention but don't rely on me as I do not know that hotel.

All the best,

Sb.

Bogaz is not a city its a small fishing town with some lovely resturants.

There is a lovely beach in Famagusta by the Palm Hotel and there are many lovely beaches up the coast to Bogaz and behond.

Iskele has a couple of bars and resturants but is a locals town with not many tourists.

The best sandy beaches in Iskele area (Caesar resort) and up to Salamis hotel close to Famagusta. Taxi cost in summer season to Famagusta from Iskele area 25-30tl, no season - 20 tl

Last bus from Famagusta bus station to Iskele at 4pm
