Hi guys,

Can anyone recommend some nice coves east of Kyrenia? we are staying around a half hours drive east of the town, and don't mind travelling a distance.

Just after sandy beaches and coves really, any hidden gems that you could share?

Thanks

If you take the Esepntepe turn at the bottom of the mountain there a a number of great beaches. Obviously there is the Acapulco - its at the hotel and you have to pay dont know how much. Just before the power station is Lara which is a nice little sandy beach good for snorkling with restaurant think its about 5tl for sunbed. Then ther are the Alagadi Turtle beeaches 3 bays 3 difernt turn off the road. 1st one is take signs for turtle project and go through the vullage. next one is signed I think as Turtle beach, there is a restaurant again. My fav is the last one a couple of miles further on as the road turns to the right you turn in left towards beachside villas are being advertised cant remeber the name of the developer. Beautiful beach and Mon-Friday its busy if there are 10 people on it, no facilities.

Hope this helps

From Tatlisu driving east. Get onto the old coast road - more beaches/coves than you can shake a stick at and few users during the week, especially around Kaplica area. - Enjoy!!!!

If you like litter strewn all over the place, any of the public beaches, should you be a little more discerning, Acapulco Hotel beach is one of the best.

Many of the hotels allow you to use their beaches free of charge. also some restaurant/bars have beaches, they usually have a sign outside stating that they are free. One in Lapta is Haci Ali.

there is a smashing beach with shallow water at karsiyaka on the way to Guzelyurt. it is on the right hand side and has a hotel bar and a seperate private bar. There are also swings and play areas. The Mare Monte beach in Alsancak is excellent. It is small, has a cafe and the sunbeds etc are free. Good sand and a sheltered cove.
