Looking for min 3 bed (4 preferred) detached villa with pool (or space for pool) to purchase, Kyrenia area. Arriving from Kuwait 4th November for one week for viewings.

Also, any advice on pitfalls to look out for in purchase process much appreciated!

Go to the For Sale forum and search for 'bufferington'. My new build villa is on schedule for completion end of November.

I will be in UK 4 Nov so call Sylvia - she has excellent English. Her boss,my lawyer, has power of attorney.

I will update with photos of the 'real thing' shortly!

Presumably because they are well respected. Carringtons the biilders were TRNC Property Developers of the

Year Last two years.



I know they sell properties from people that have sought to trade up to the superior Carrington designs and

sites. Check it out for yourself.

We have 3 bed with another room which we made into a computer/tv room which can be turned back into a bedroom if necessary. CH, all the usual and a pool and a reasonable sized garden and kocan and wonderful views. It is 5 years old. Well worth looking at - takes 15/20 minutes to get to Kyrenia depending on time of day. It is just in Incesu which is almost part of Alsancak. We have it with North Cove Estates in Kara.... and they would be happy to show it to you, and I could come up if I knew you were viewing, as we live just down the hill a bit!

Hi Paul, I am neither for or against the mentioned Builder,my concern is that the potential buyer is told ALL the facts on buying in the TRNC.....Good ,Bad, or indifferent. I have seen your Villa on a previous post, very nice indeed...

Johnnybequd - I forgot to say, if you want to rent for a while before deciding to buy (anywhere) it is also for rent as from November 3rd when present tenants return to UK. It is furnished.

Hi I have a 4/5 bed villa 50 mts from the sea little cove. swimming pool own well electric gate nice gardens parking for another 6 cars and 60mt building u can use for a gym or annex. very well built. its up with north cove you can contactme on lynsue64@gmail.com its not a normal villa it is different.

There are some good builder recommendations on this thread. Carrington recommendations come from buyers who received their deeds quickly and have been using their holiday homes without problems for many years. This means a lot in the TRNC. It makes sense to investigate highly recommended sites because they are few and far between.



Don't make the mistake of listening to recommendations from those that have not received their title deeds.



Do not buy off plan and only buy from vendors that can exchange deeds on approval of PTP. Do not buy Pre 74 Turkish Title, you will not get PTP. There are some advocates and estate agents best avoided. Use the Google box to find out who they are.

I am in total agreement with you re the building standards out here.Having spent all my life as a registered house builder in the UK and with many years working in other parts of Europe using different building systems, it makes the mind boggle to see some of the pathetic workmanship out here.You do seldom come across an exceptional piece of work but that does not compensate for all those customers who have been taken to the cleaners with their hard earned savings.
