As we have booked xtra baggage allowance, on our return from Stanstead after Christmas does any one know if we can put two bags each into the hold.

As we have an allowance of 32 Kilo's each + 8 Kilo's hand luggage.

Hi

I booked an extra 5 kilos in the summer and had two hold bags + hand luggage

I checked with them when I reconfirmed my flight and they confirmed that was ok

There is no restriction on the number of hold luggage items, as long as the weight is paid for.

Andy Msg 1 - At present all the above comments are correct regarding number of packages etc.

Another major thing to watch out for is not allowing any one case/package to go over 30Kg as that is not far short of the baggage handlers allowed maximum handling weight.

Beware your scales and those at the airport may not read the weight in a similar way (even moisture during the day can affect scales and the weight of your baggage i.e.if you take it through rain when going to a terminal the little bit extra might just "tip the scales")

If you have two cases it is easy to forget that each case will weigh around 3/5 Kg of your total weight allowance.

Booked in advance it is £6 a kilo minimum 5, and goes up by 5 to 10, 15, 20

If you look at Pegasus web site it would appear that the charge for excess luggage from the UK is the

highest charge. Double of some European countries. I wonder why

To be fair to them they allow you to take golf clubs free in addition to your baggage allowance.
