Thanks for your attention !

We have just gone passed 2 years waiting for our PTP. Now my advocate assures me everything is fine and this is normal.

There are enough of us now on this board to collate information to verify this - so I thought it may be an idea to ask everybody to share this information:

1. If you have received your PTP how long did it take ?

2. If you haven't, how long since you signed your contract ?

At least with this information, it gives us all a data point when chasing up with our respective advocates. If I get enough responses I will publish average statistics.

If you know your application number, why not simply phone the PTP office? That's what we did as our estate agent seemed to be dragging the situation out. Then we found we had been refused PTP which the agent obviously didn't want us to know.

We found out that we had got ours last week.

It took 1 year and 10 months. We kept phoning the Ptp office every couple of months to ask for an update on our PTP number. For ages they said still with the military and eventually said that everything was OK gave us our number.

PTP is one thing - getting your builder to part with his 6.25% tax and release the deeds is the other.....
