Yes I agree Mike , absolutely lovely . But I must admit I was a bit wicked and took a picture of my hubby in his shirt sleeves out in the sunshine and posted it back to the uk to show how lovely it was here today

It would be really interesting to read about your move and how you have found living in North Cyprus.

We done it all wrong , bought off plan in an exibition in the uk , a place we had never been too , paid up front and paid up front for furniture packages . Started coming out for holidays , staying in a hotel . Then informed it was finished ahead of time , so was over the moon .

Didnt expect to retire for at least 5 to 10 tears BUT , got offered early redundancy last year ,we both took the money and ran. Moved out in september and are so chilled and relaxed . People have bent over backwards to help us here and we could nt be happier .

Like I said earlier thankyou every one for your support and help.

Done it all wrong but its turned out perfect

Well done carolhm,

hope you continue to enjoy life in the TRNC. Can you help other prospective buyers by recommending your builder and advocate and stating how long it took for you to get PTP and your title deeds? Any tips would be welcome.

101 days and still looking forward. We bought at Sea Terra Reserve in Tatlisu. The Owners are Marsol properties and the construction was by Euro coast. By and large the buikdings are o.k. for North Cyprus although it would appear that some are better than others, dependant on who the constructors were. Our PTP took about a year to come through. There are 200 apartments on site and they are all built. The developer took out mortgages on the property which I believe are still outstanding but it did give them the chance to finish all the properties so they could sell them as an up and running site. I believe we have about 40 properties left to sell and they are selling them at a knock down rate. I am told that the deeds are in the process of being written and we should have them soon. My advocate was Talat Kursak. Have not had a lot of dealings with him but I understand he has been taken off the list of approved English speaking solicitors. Just stay calm and go with the flow.

Dunno but we were told they were going to transfer the mortgages onto the unsold properties .

To be honest I am not going to worry about it , life is too short and I want to enjoy life with out stress .

If it happens then all well and good , if not just stay chilled

Carol, just to let you and Mike know that am very pleased with the 'furniture package' settee and armchair I bought from you (via C44 sales ads) . Although basically the same design as my old one, are much better materials.

My dogs very happy to have new 'bed' where the arms don't fall off!!! am hoping the throw covers I use will keep it looking good for a long time to come

thanks Ann

Read message 9 on the following:

I sincerely hope that everything works out for the buyers on this development but I'm not sure it is such a "positive post" now that we know which site it is and how vulnerable the purchasers are.

Again, I would suggest that by all means continue to extol the virtues of TRNC as a relaxing place to live but do not suggest that your property purchase is anything other than a minefield and an outright gamble. Here is a prime example of a future problem, as yet unidentified by these buyers, that are on the first rungs of the property purchase ladder and cannot even see the consequences of buying mortgaged property with no deeds.

What rosy news. I've bought a property with a 2 million mortgage on it!

Stay chilled and please don't worry about eviction.

Thank you bradus for your comment very nice of you , yes got a mortgage and yes it smells like roses over here too , very nice . The last thing i am going to worry about is eviction. If it were to happen then thats life , if it doesn t then thats great and i would of been worrying for nothing. But thanks again for your concern and i will keep relaxing and smiling
