Hi

Plese take into account that airports also have charges for use by airlines.

Manchester I belive is one of the most expensive in Uk

Take that cost and extra fuel still should not be nearly double.

Travelling at holiday periods can also be more expensive as the

demand is higher and the cheaper fares will go very quickly.

The best thing is to just get an cheap ticket coach from North of England to the South. You can pick up coaches from Manchester to London return when you book in advanced for under 10.00.

Manchester has highter airport charges as well as more increased fuel charges.

Good luck

Fuel surcharges are not normaly affected by a mere 200 miles. They are different relating to long haul or short haul distances.

CTA has different taxes to Pegasus and they are different to Turkish and when TWI sold Atlas with different taxation again. There can be different rates at different times of year too. Some of the rates change daily depending on exchange rates too!

A while back I calculated for CTA flights a a quick reference. Total taxes for return flights originating in the UK out of season; the cheapest was Stansted at about 61.33 GBP the most expensive 69.80 for Heathrow

I hope this settles some of these points

andy if you are thinking about booking with Pegasus i would do it sooner rather than later because the prices are only going one way ! Booked ours two weeks ago for next june and they have gone up £50 each already.

Andy,

Maybe they want to discourage Mancs from travelling as they cause a lot of trouble... ;¬)

Most squeezyjet flights are sold in tranches at different prices depending on when you book them. Sometimes I think it is the first 3 seats only which are at the price offered in their adverts as being "from £5 "! Then you have to pay for gags @ £7 each way and then you get bombarded by e-mails trying to sell you the car park hotels car hire and a text service to tell you what is happening to the aircraft.

Groucho- wait for the flights from John Lennon Scouseport to start!
