You cannot beat Esentepe, the village has plenty of bars and restaurants plus shops and it has at least 2 banks. The scenery is beautiful as you rightly say and it is quiet and peaceful, all this and only half an hours drive from town.

You will find that there are some villas for sale in your price bracket but please choose your builder carefully. Carringtons seem to be one of the reputable builders still building in the area but there will be others. I would advise to find a villa that is already finished with the deeds already to transfer when you have your ptp. I won't comment on Lapta only to say that I wouldn't wish to live there myself but then everyone is different and wants different things from life.

I agree with the butler's wife. Esentepe/Bahceli is beautiful but it really depends what you want from the area. There are more and more restaurants opening up this way but good shopping is always a drive away (at least 30 mins). We live Bahceli and I go to Girne usually at least twice a week and am always glad to drive back along the waterfront road.... so calming and peaceful. You should come over and rent for a few months to see where you really want to be. If you cannot find a place where the Kocan is ready to transfer (after you get your PTB) I would steer clear or just rent.

We live in Tatlisu , just on a bit from Esentepe and love it . The scenery is fanastic , mountains one side and the sea on the other side . You just cant beat it

Live near Tatlisu, lovely area, approx 15 mins from Esentepe. Bungalow villas 3 bedroom approx 30m x 30m of land, from builder approx 65k a couple for resale approx 78k have gardens done, flyscreens, shutters, sheds etc
