At quite short notice, it has been announced that the KKTC (TRNC) Minister of Health will be at the wedding park to thanks all those who have raised funds for the refurbishment of the health centre in Esentepe..

They want to see as many of the local community ex-pats included to celebrate how successful this project has been so far...

As Paul & Marilyn are away and they have I believe done more than most to raise these funds, we should all go along to support their work...

Let's see... I might even has a drink or two in Senol's afterwards..

Groucho

I really must take exception, you may 'believe' what you like, but There are people in the village of Esentepe (incl. x-pats) who have donated much more than the people you mention to the village, without seeking any publicity or praise what so ever, not knocking others who do their bit, good on them but they are way behind in the money raising stakes of those who seek no publicity.

OK Alison,

As you will see if you re-read my post, I did not say that they donated the money and I did not say they raised more than anybody... I did say that I believe they helped to raise more than most (this they have done by running money raising events monthly for the last two years....)

Oh well, I guess we'll just have to agree that money raised for a good cause should be celebrated...and as a lot of ex-pats are away for Christmas it would be good if others could turn up...

I hope you will you be there?

I was told by Bayram last night, that it is to take place in the Esentepe Cinema Hall... which is just beyond the Kim Market on the left.

As it's absolutely peeing down and looks set in for the day I'd take a brolly just in case!

At least it doesn't sound like your talking to yourself, like "This board is under attack" where a whole post was taken away, and your left having a rant, glad I was watching that or else I might have thought you were going mad too.
