Hello everyone good afternoon just got back from a short 10day break in Cyprus.



During our stay we went into the tax office to register and pay some tax on income received from letting our Villa in Ozankoy.



If you are renting your Villa out and as yet not advised the tax office it might be sensible to contact me on my private email address

Doug - I am assuming you are going to advise that people are careful to pay their 'holiday let' tax. I let a villa and I pay my 10% tax annually on rental fees (I put out an email string into a similar posting last year I think).



I've no idea if the tax men are tracing owners via websites such as Owners Direct / Holiday Rentals etc but it is very easy for most of the properties on those sites. I won't take the risk.



Standby now for lots of top tips to avoid paying from other members or how daft we are that we comply....yawn!

if you take your expenses out of you rent you have received,your properly paying 20% in real terms.
