Have seen a nice 3 seat 1 table wicker set for the garden at a really low price from Orphanidies.

Is there anyway of bringing it over and what would it involve? I only have a small car so it obviously wouldn't fit in there.

I bought a garden set table and 4 chairs for my in laws last year. Had to pay the tax on it at the border. I think the set was 90 euros and i had to pay about 20euros tax on it but it was still cheaper than buying it here.

Tinkie, thanks for that. Was that a standard tax rate or a percentage? This set is 150 euros.

Has anyone brought furniture over more recently?

It was a percentage, which they calculated from the receipt. There was no problem, have you checked electruker just over the girne roundabout, they had some good deals in their ex display area a couple of weeks ago

I went to Orpanides with a friend a long while ago when she spotted a 3 pce suite she liked and asked me if they would deliver, my answer was.. 'Don't think so'.

I dared her to ask the elderly male assistant, which she did, he smiled 'Of course we deliver, where to? She said. 'Kyrenia' well you would have thought she had just uttered a profanity. He went blood red with rage and almost had smoke coming out of his ears. We just wanted to dissapear into a black hole sharpish.
