Take care bringing flat pack furniture from Ikea etc, strictly speaking, to import furniture, you need an import licence, and furniture will be confiscated at the crossings if it is found in the car. The cost to get it back will usually be 100% fine, plus 30% of the purchase value.

I am sure with a little trawling round some shops you will find what you want that goes along with your principles.

I am sure any equivalent you find in Nicosia will be cheaper than in Kyrenia, but in my experience, the furniture quality is poor.

Check out the cost of having what you want made at one of the carpentry shops, there is a good chance it can be made cheaper than it can be bought.
