Just booked direct with Turkish airline for next summer Stansted Ercan rtn £195-00 per person inc; taxes I think this is a good price?

Turkish Airlines are very competitive, PLUS they are very good. You don't have to change planes either in Turkey

They have a web site type in KTHY in google, go on the turkish link when you enter the link it is in turkish, click on english, and you can book or check out prices.

ive posted you the link a bit easier than finding it also when you want to book you have to put in lefkosa because that where the city is not ercan thats just the name of the airport, but remember guys going with turkish airlines does take a bit longer cos it stops of in istanbul rather than kthy which stops off in izmir-dalaman or antalya

I actually phoned Turkish airlines direct on 02077669300 it may be old fashioned but it works. Thought I'd share this with the board as it seems loke a good deal.

To book with Turkish Airlines for a flight from the UK to Ercan you have to phone them you cannot book online.

You can book THY online on the Manchester airport booking engine. You dont have to be flying from Manchester to do it

Sorry if my post has confused anyone, the link I posted was for Cyprus Turkish Airlines (kthy) not Turkish air lines.

KHTY do allow you to book on line, they are now using email ticketing and as ukturk has said they stop off in turkey so you do not have to change planes.

like lovingcyprus has said you cant book with turkish airlines on their website going from the u.k they have not got the permission!! you will have to book on the phone or in person head office in pall mall london tel number 0207-766 93 33 or heathrow airport office tel no 0208 897 17 31 stansted office tel no 0127-9681450 or manchester ticket office 0161-489 5293 these flight go from manchester-heathrow-stansted and stop of in istanbul on the other hand you can book directly on their website with cyprus turkish airlines link provided above and they fly from manchester-stansted - gatwick - heathrow - birmingham and they stop off in izmir-dalaman or antayla

Going to the TRNC on the 28/12 - 11/1, with Turkish Airline from Manchester to Istanbul to Ercan, and return. We paid GBP 217 each.

The downside is that on our return, we have a 6 hour wait at the overpriced Attaturk airport in Istanbul.

Bring on the Manchester to Ercan direct flights.

Barrovian, you should have booked your return on a day when the connection is the early flight from IST, gets into MAN at 10am therefore only about 90 mins wait in IST

This return flight that we have booked was the only one that was showing up. I know that on our return trip in October, we managed to get the one that you are saying, with only a 90 minute wait in Istanbul.

Hopefully next time in February/March.
