Good advice....book with Pegasus direct.

The only downside is if you need to alter or cancel.....quite often there are no refunds (apart from the tax element) on the promotional flight prices.

Also you don't get an in-flight meal.......but I see that as a GOOD thing !

That is good £153 in June - I paid £185 each for 30th Jan 10 days

Book direct always. Meals are available for 10 euros & sandwiches.

It was only booked 3 days ago, and for that price, who cares about meals on the flight, take a sandwich and drink on board.

I have seen posts in the past saying how easy it is to book direct with the airlines on the Internet. Never would I consider it!! I book with Tom at IAH every time.

Booking direct is ok until something unexpected occurs, like a short notice reason to change the flight or the airline cancelling the flight which has just happened to my elderly Dad. Flying back to UK flight out of Ercan with Turkish airline booked September for 23rd December cancelled. No reason given just cancelled. A complete nightmare to deal with for connecting flights etc.

Thank goodness for Alan (the new boy) at IAH. He even rang me at 9.30 on a Sunday night to keep me updated with how things were working out. You might pay a bit more for service but you can’t pay enough for peace of mind. Lets face it travelling can be stressful enough.

Thanks Tom and Alan, I really appreciate what you did for us.

Cyprusgaz......anyone familiar with online shopping would have no problem booking direct with Pegasus and saving a lot of money.

Rocky

Got out the wrong side of bed have we?

All you have to do is ask not grunt or is it you are taking the role of Rocky Balboa seriously.

I don't doubt a word you say. I have complete confidence in my own abilities to shop on-line. However in travel related purchases there are too many variables and unless you are in direct 2 ways communication with the travel provider problems can, will and do occur. It’s comforting for me to know that going through an agent (and IAH is a particularly good one) I am doubly sure I am looked after. It’s a mess when it goes wrong ask anyone that went through the XL saga that booked direct with them. Who do you think they spoke to when it all went belly up? Those that went through agents were the first to be catered for (fact).

I would also commend and recommend Tom and his crew at IAH, got me out of a sticky situation at a weekend. And for the little extra you would pay for their services in my opinion is well worth it.
