Charleston Night at Colony Hotel Saturday 9 December

The Girne Rotary Club ‘Children in Need’ team are staging a ‘1920’s Night’ at the Colony on Saturday 9 December, with a raffle, table prizes and a Cabaret and Charleston Competition.

A Rotary spokesman reports that there are few tickets left for what should be a really memorable evening. “We are now looking for our next project related to ‘Children in North Cyprus’, so if any Child centered group is in need of some funds, they are invited to either write to us via our Chairman, Huseyin Aktig, at Children in Need Committee, Club Z Hotel, Girne, Mersin 10, Turkey, sending a copy to our secretary Brenda Plant, PO Box 95 Lapta, Girne, Mersin 10, Turkey.

Alternatively, they can arrange to come to talk to us about their project, maybe make a presentation as to their aims, objectives and needs. The Committee will consider all and every option for next year’s fundraising programme.” In the meantime Rotarians will be donning their ‘Flappers’ outfits for the Colony Charleston Night on the 9th, tickets for the event are available from any Rotary Club member.
