Hello,

My name is Mike. I am an American looking to move to Kyrenia. I am looking for a few things. The first I am looking for a long term rental villa near the beach with beach views and swimming pool (garage is a must). The newer and nicer the better. I also have an American Bulldog pup (7 months) who will be coming with me. I work internationally, Mostly in Eastern Europe and will only be there 2 weeks a month at best. So the next thing I am looking for is a roommate that will take care of the house and my pup in exchange for not paying any rent. This person has to be some what resposible to make sure my dirtbikes and streetbikes are safe and my dog gets love and attention when I'm not there. preferably female but not hung up on that. I like to party and play hard when I am there I will be out alot. Golfing, Kite surfing, motocross, wakeboarding etc. If you are interested in helping let me know. I would expect any roommate to use the house as I would (party have fun) but respect to

Mike - are you for real? The reason I'm asking is that you mention in your post that you like to "party and play hard", "kite surfing, motocross, wakeboarding, etc." and that when you are there you plan "to be out a lot".

I hope I don't sound too cynical here, but are you sure TRNC/Kyrenia is the place for you?

Just curious.

2) Sent you a request

3) Yes I am for real. I do like to party, have fun and I can do that anywhere.

4) I'm sure if there is a good party there I will be there too.

5) Yes again I am for real and I thought it was a pretty good offer.

6) I have been in Ukraine for too long. I hate it here there is absolutely no social responsibility in this country, people can't drive, the attitudes suck and the women barley work and expect the world to be given to them. Just very tired of it. Plus I HATE winter.

7) Because I have a different life style than you, live life to the fullest and can afford the way I want to live does not qualify as a wind up. But thank you for your valuable input. It was worth both of our time.

8) It hasn't ended!

9) not going to dignify

10) I wasn't traveling as much. Can't get rid of him and plan to stop traveling ASAP.

11) Sounds Good!

12) Thank you

13) How much you got?!

Thank you all for your replies. I hope to see you with in the next couple of months!

Thank you for the kind words. I really look forward to be able to spend most of my time there.

Lydia) No the property does not to be furnished. As long as I can get some direction on where to buy furnishings or the issues around importing. I already think I am going to have issues bringing my motorcycles in.

Thank you again for your help and the nice words.

Thank you Vicki! I read your link and I think it may be better to just buy everything in Cyprus. Most of my furniture is in San Diego anyway. I think I may just avoid the hassles and enjoy a shopping trip instead. I have even contemplated selling my motorcycles here and buying them again there. Assuming there are motorcycle shops in Cyprus. I have not been there yet!

Hi Upsidsideways.

Your last sentence says a lot. The winters here are cold and damp, although thankfully not very long. It seems to me you need a butler, who will look after your house and your dog and even clean your bikes. I know the very person.

By the way, there is a fantastic bike shop near the Lemar supermarket in

Kyrenia.

Hello Butlers Wife,

If you have someone in mind please let me know. I would really appreciate it.

Do you know if the motorcycle shop has a website? Or the name and I can try to look it up.

I can live with cold and damp if only for a short time. It is just now getting to be 10 to 13 degrees in Kiev. The winter was unbearable. It was -25 degrees and below freezing for three months.

Hi Upsidsideways, welcome to Cyprus. You will love it I am sure, despite the "party poopers". If I can help at all (love to shop), then just let me know.

Hi Upsidesideways,

You possibly don't know what a Butler is. He is a Gentlemans, gentleman a kind of Batman. Employed by the rich and famous to look after their every whim. If you think you can afford one let me know. I don't know the name of the bike shop in Girne but I am sure there will be lots of board members who will be able to help you.

Hi britvic & hattikins,

You make me laugh, not that batman with his sidekick Robin with their trunks over their long johns. A military batman, like a valet who takes care of the clothes and needs of an officer.

Butlers Wife- I not that complex that I need a butler..... That is a little to much for me.

Sideways- That looks awesome! Great pics! That is in Cyprus? Is it mandatory to have a chopper or cruiser to be apart of the club or will they let sport bikes in as well? Thanks for the great pics.

To all- I have found a pretty nice looking place in Golden Cove Villa in Çatalköy can anyone tell me about this area? Is it nice etc...

Thank you for your help.

The first couple you MUST invite to your house warming would be 'The- Wicks' couple as I'm sure they would contribute greatly to your opening celebrations with party-pooping your popping of fireworks in the welcoming soiree you will hold on your settling in the TRNC. Good luck

Hi Mike

Dont know if you are still checking on your repsonses but ...

I currently live in Paphos area of Republic Cyprus and am investigating a move to the North. I too have a dog .. 2 years .. interesting cross (some Hungarian Vizla and definitly other genes ...) He is coming up to 2 years and have had him since he was 8 weeks. Was wondering how you are getting on with your move. When I move out I would be happy to help out with dog situation, if the dogs get on... as I am fortunate in that I work from home. I have been lucky in that I have good friends here who have stepped in when I needed a bit of help.

Perhaps we could stay in touch and when I come up North to check things out it would be great meet up if you are around .... I have lived in a number of places, including USA, and admit I find Cyprus not the easiest in the beginning. Cynicism rules at times!
