How's the "media campaign" for the "restaurant-without-a-name" going, Tommy13? Amazing you had to advertise all these jobs here again - no luck in finding people since April 29? Aye...

Tommy13: Keep talking around the subject, don't answer any questions and announce new "projects". It's fun to follow your, errm, fantasies. You'll have my constant interest - and nobody can say that they were not warned.

P.S. After the builders/lawyers swindlers market, a new petty swindlers market seems to have been discovered.

OK, now for the plain truth (imo): tommy13 can fantasize here what he wants, but he shouldn't give (maybe desperate) board members false hope, advertising non-existent jobs for no-name-restaurants etc.

dutch perhaps you havnt understood clearly , i will reiterate it once again for you .. I mean this particular thread , not previous ones , i.e. since ive posted this particular thread there have been no applicants, have i made myself clear now ??

Thanks for pointing out the previous posts though , interestingly enough ' Mojoe" has been employed as a manager , he is one of the people Ive sent out to los angelas at the begining of the month for training and orientation and he will return on 29th to train the new employees that im trying to find. He will then put them through the one month training course.

Thanks to Cyprus44

I always answer him with patience and forebearance , offer him kindness and try to see through his miserly penurious & avaricious exterior , somewhere in there is a heart im sure ... I will try to guide him to the light , and soon he will see the light and humble himself before me !!

RE msg 75, tommy13: Haha! Nice one, tommy13! Telling your "employee" to use your email instead of this board! He still has got a lot to learn in "sunny California"! Btw since when is Girne/Kyrenia called California?

P.S. I plan to import into TRNC bottles with "genuine Amsterdam air". Any business tips how to sell them? Media campaign? What do you think?

P.P.S. Or should I start with bottles with real "Amsterdam canal water"?

Just found out that your "employee" Mojoe (who says he is Murat from Kyrenia) was in the position to offer jobs also (i.e. just before he left for "sunny California"...):

Coming from your shop towards girne , theres a brand new row of shops on the right hand side opposite a garden furniture store ,,,,,,, there just finished and unoccupied the apartments are above these shops. Owner is Hassan Kumyali , his office is on the row of shops before supreme market the row which has hot chick and mardo ice cream . You can find him in the corner unit marked Kumyali Construction

WHAT else do people, who have sent their CV, have than an ridiculous simple email address (....@inkontower.c*m). How come some of us don't trust Nigerian and other African/Asian scam posters - but trust this tommy13 who has never given ONE FACT in return of simple questions???! Is "naive", dear board members, offending you?! If so, you deserve what you get.

I think Dutchcrusader has a big problem with anybody wanting to find a job out here!

Let people do what they want to do, all your comments on this thread have been critising or have been sarcastic.

If you are not interested in a job, dont post!!

=> I begin to understand why so many Brits in TRNC were 100% fooled by fake-builders and 100% fake-real estate agents. They, like obviously you, believe what they read at face value. Why do you attack me for asking questions - you and others should not be so gullible! You don't KNOW the man or his backgrounds, but you do not even question him!! Incredible. IT'S ONLY WORDS, WITHOUT ANY PROOF, HE GIVES YOU.

P.S. kofaliking: Interested to sell my "bottled, genuine Amsterdam air"? Send your CV, please.

Well done to Tommy13 for not biting to the juvenile and immature impications from DutchCrusader, I for one know that Tommy13's and the Ikon Groups venture is not a pipe dream and the restaurant in Famagusta is for real as are the recruitment advertisments.

Tommy13 understands the values of keeping what will be a very competitive business venture under wraps until all the prerequisites are in place, training, recruitment, location, equipment, restaurant fitting, suppliers, marketing, licences e.t.c

I for one wish him and the group all the success especially when one considers the ammount of money involved in what will always be a high risk business.

(I have to quit this thread for a couple of days, because I have business talks with my Nigerian partners. They came up with a very interesting idea: how to make lots of money via the Internet. You may hear from us soon - enough naive board members available.)

Hans is big enough and well able to fight his own corner ,but to be fair , i can see where Hans is coming from , Ikon Towers , { an office block yet to be built } , Ikon Group , Ikon Ventures They are not all the same companies , as the Ikon group is American based , if i'm not mistaken , so it is a bit confusing and could be seen to be a bit unbelievable .

Hi simbas , trust your well , i understand where your coming from , its quite ok ... i simply dont feel the need to share the finer details here . If you would genuinely like to apply for a job or rent office space at The Ikon Tower then get in touch and only then will I be obliged to furnish you with the finer details

I think its the silly season i.e. there is no hard news of interest at the moment, so the board is full of chit chat, teases, jokes and in general light hearted exchanges.

I must say I have enjoyed the banter between Dutchy and Tommy. Dutchy is implying that Tommy is an imposter and Tommy answers back in a cool manner and insists that his efforts are genuine. So who is right?

Tommy is not asking for money from anybody, in fact he is offering jobs and free training. OK, people have been sending in their CV's but I imagine the scope for misuse is very limited. So the chances are that he is very genuine. In fact he has contacted my daughter's place Smart Plus for cooperation in interior design work and by all accounts he knows his stuff. So I have no doubt that the new restaurant in Famagusta will be in service within a couple of months. I suggest that he puts some "humble pies" on the menu. Who knows, they may be very tasty pies

When will the Johnny Rockets be opening in Girne ? I remember Tommy saying it would open around about this time, roughly 18 months after the opening the one Famagusta, which should be around now !!
