Take the main road from Famagusta to Lefkosia. Take the first turning on the right to Girne. This will take you up through the mountains. At the top you should pass the entrance to buffavento castle and then you will be on your way down the mountain. Look for the turning on the right for Arapkoy and take this turning. Follow the road into the village. You will get to a junction with a yellow bus stop. Turn right and go past the village shop and Klepini resturant. Keep going along that road and you will see Chelsey Village staright in front of you.

I have now found the chelsey village or their web page and info on the forum, you can guess I am new to forum/chat to obtain information, and new to the laptop experience, well 3 weeks old. I thought cyprus 44 when I found the site at first was just a large marketing ploy etc etc but now having studied the comments I must say lots of very use full information on North Cyprus and all the related issues, so well done to whoever put it together. I have bought some books on the area but does not cover property in much detail. I have now found some of the information I am looking for. We are going over at the end of July to look at some developments partly advised by a friend’s neighbour who has bought in Arapkoy or has at least some knowledge of what to look for. The chelsey village web has lots of photos but can anyone advise if they have all completed. The area sounds great but don’t want to make a purchase and wait until its built. We both retire in December this year and would want to move then and trying to obtain as much information before going over or before I contact any agents. Is it best to contact estate agent prior to going out there or once you are there?

Hope someone can help or I will try to email any agents.

We have bought in Chelsey Village, everything has gone really well. There are still a couple of properties in phase 2 that are nearly finished and not sold. We were there in May and are going back in July to get the keys to our apartment as it has been completed this week. If you contact Yigor properties office in London they will arrange airport transfers and accomodation for you in Cyprus, you will be able to stay at Chelsey Village, a sort of try before you buy. You get a better feel of the place if you stay there. If you do decide to purchase, they will reimburse the cost of your flights.

Hi deni2,

welcome to the forum, I would advise you coming for at least 2 weeks. when we came in 2006 we made appointments to see 4 estage agents before we came out. The first week the agents took us to see what they had on their books, the 2nd week we looked around ourselves and found what we were looking for, a newly finished bungalow with water and electric and tarmac roads already laid. It is a buyers market at the moment with plenty of bargains, so look around before you decide.

I live at the village - Phase 2 is nearly complete with phase 3 (final) just started.

If you buy in December you will still be on a part building site for another year - the

property will be finished, but others still being built on site.

We currently have 1 swimming pool open (others not built yet) Mains water and Electricity now connected. 2 of the roads will be finished shortly. (A key issue - due to dust)

The location is fantastic - it is down to you if you are prepared live on building site

for perhaps 12 months (with perhaps a price reflecting this)

Any other queries please contact me by E-Mail

Regards

Sorry Ilovemydogs,

Meant to say, if it's the one Lynn is selling, she has advertised it a few times and it's a penthouse apartment-she is/was my neighbour.

Didn't mean it to sound so abrupt...sorry.
