Yes, Top Ten, travelled with Atlasjet from Manchester this morning, very early - 12 hours earlier than CTA flight should have been. As I said though it seems that people were not being informed. Same might happen again on Saturday. The flight number is very similar to CTA, but changed from YK664 to KK9664. If you look on the Manchester Airpport website the day before then you may see the flight appear scheduled for 15 mins past midnight, it went to Antalya then on to Ercan.

So you booked a daytime flight with CTA, but they are flying you with a nightflight with AtlasJet...

You are probably due some refund / compensation?

zcacmxi, I think that is splitting hairs a little. Given the situation a lot of people find themselves in, and the worry they have, I think I have been lucky to get back pretty much on time, with an excellent airline. I don't think claiming a few pounds in compensation is going to help anyone.....at least I have not had to pay extortionate prices now being charged.

mrsgee, I agree with you... Probably not worth the hassle of dealing with TRNC/KTHY for any amount of money, big or small. Best to cut your losses for an easy life...

Sue - with the complaints I hear from clients who have all booked with others well done that is a far more positive attitude to the situation in your Msg 4 & 6.

It's nice to hear someone with a positive view thank you. All the agents and operators as well as the staff at the airlines need a little positive thinking to help us to help you.

I agree with post 6, we arrived back in Stansted on Tuesday, (originally should have flown to Birmingham on Monday with CTA) although things could have been handled better at Ercan, our original tickets were honoured by Atlas and we are just glad to be home.

Hello,

The Manchester to Anatalya flight, 17 JULY 2010, is down on Atlas web-site as FULL.

It is highly likely the CTA Mcr-Dalaman flight won't exist. Atlas FAQ says turn up anyway with your CTA tickets.

It will be interesting to see how the CTA passengers down for the Manchester to Dalaman flight on the same day will be able to get on a full plane??

Haydock, look on the bright side, if they were making room for CTA ticket holders then you would expect a FULL response to any attempt to book a seat.

The manchester/antalya flight usually goes once a week on a Wednesday so for those booked on the 14th July I wouldn't say that the alternative on the 17th (75 hours later) is a viable option for us so I'm putting my credit card claim in

Kevin Msg 15 - There is very little information mainly speculation and rumour - my thought is start to worry two weeks before you travel if things are still in chaos and you dont know what to do.

I'm off to Paradise Holidays in Bromley as advised by the Atlasjet website. We have seats booked with CTA from Stanstead to Ercan on 30th July, returning 16th August. I will let you know what happened when I get back ...

Is there any information about the Manchester & Birmingham CTA flights to Ercan.

Atlas Jet (if you can get on) only seem to fly out of Stanstead.

I have friends due out this weekend from both airports.

They have not been contacted by anyone to say if the flights are operating . One booked with Cyprus Premier.

They are not answering any of the numbers.

Both have emailed me saying "see you soon" but obviously are unaware that there is any problem.

I have told them to enquire where booked but I'm surprised that the UK operators are not contacting ticket holders.

Quite honestly if you are thinking of getting an Atlasjet/CTA flight then think again. I was going with 4 grandchildren to take Saturday's 0945 flight from Stansted to Ercan. Out of interest I just tried booking tickets on the flight, having done the same a few days ago. Previously there were tickets available but now the plane is FULL!!! I'll be flying to the south from now on, something I thought I'd never do. Even when/if they sort the problem out I'll never use CTA/Atlasjet or any of its variants.

Just back from Cyprus Paradise in Bromley as per message 18. I was told to e-mail kthytickets@cypruspremier.com and give them all the details. They said they have a call centre to put people on Atlasjet flights. These are filling up quickly. All I want is a firm "no flights available" and then I'll happily book with Easyjet, but I can't afford to pay for new tickets unless I am guaranteed a credit card refund.

Hi.

I brought a cta ticket for 2 people about 8 weeks ago and I had no idea the airline had trouble! When the airline went bankrupt I was searchin frantically to try and find out some information! Finally a brake throught. My boyfriends nan booked her flights with a travel agent and she managed to change her tickets over to atlas jet tickets for an extra £25 each! Altough we had to pay more money it was worth it to secure our place on a flight! As I was gettin nothing from all the call centre's and the internet I decided to go to the travel agents and ask for my tickets to be changed over! They had no problem doing this! The family have now flown out to ercan from stanted with no problems other then a slight delay with the plane getin back from turkey! Now we have atlas jet tickets and we will be flyin out on the 11th of august the same day as with cta just an earlier time! Please guys I no its hard not to stress but seek advice from your local travel agents which fly's atlas jet! You

kimberley Msg 24 - It's nice to hear the good news, thanks

Kimberley's point - Buy from an agent or tour operator they normally have more control and knowledge (some are more helpful and others sadly are not).

My sister bought her flights with CTA online. I printed off my sisters CTA tickets (she had emailed me a copy) and took them to the office in Kyrenia and they changed them all over for me at NO charge. She has had to come a couple of days earlier but as I haven't seen her for a year it's not big issue. I asked the agent at AtlasJet to email all the etickets to me which I forwarded on to my sister. She was absolutely thrilled as I was, as it had been very stressful not knowing what was going on. I am now looking forward to her arrival on 5th August

So my point is if you have friends or family that are having difficulty with their flights in the UK, you can sort it for them by getting them to email you their tickets and taking them to the office to be changed at no charge.
