Re : Msg 11,

You need Avon Skin So Soft Dry Oil Body Spray as it contains citronella oil which is an insect repellent.

As far as I can remember Lotion does not have c. oil in it.

you need to use a repellant that contains deet. Boots do their own in a roll on you can easily pop in your pocket or handbag.

hope this helps

Newlad,

Do you want to but some Avon oil spray?

I bought some when they where on offer so I have some stock if you want to email me.

Could leave it at Rays if you wanted to collect ??

Not worth bringing to TRNC as it would soak up you baggage allowance.

Hi all,

I have bought two new devices which are solar powered and emit the sound of a male mosquito( It has a radius of about 4 mteres)...the theory is that it is the female mosquito which bites and they do not like to hang around when they hear the noise of a male mosquito as this disturbs their feeding pattern!!!

I am trying them out in Sept for the first time. Apparently if you clip this to your shorts/jeans or lay it beside your bedside cabinet you won't get bitten. If it works I will report back.

Mosquitos usually just love me so if I don't get bitten this will be concrete evidence!!

I live in Oroklini nr Larnaca and we get loads of mossies from the salt lake. I use a spray called Elephant Spray. From the smell I have an idea what part of the elephant they use but it really works.

If I spray before going out I never get bitten and they usually love me to bits.

Available in all supermarkets and kiosks
