The voltage is very high in Karsiyaka. According to neighbour it is up around 270. He has turned everything off. I am using surge protectors but not sure how good they are. The Fridge Freeaer is not on a surge protector.

Lecky has been on here in Girne since 8pm last night but land-line has only just come on having been off since at least 6am this morning, perhaps longer.

I am in Girne and my land line that was out ealier in the day is now back on. My ups that I use for my main PC is showing an input voltage here of 240v and seems if anything more stable than usual, getting very little fluctuation on the input voltage.

Just in case anyone is interested here is the grpah of input voltages recorded by my ups for the month of january 2012. The drops to zero at the end are when I was disconnecting the ups from the PC so that I could use it just to run the MM box on my roof from its battery so I could use a laptop on battery to keep connected to the internet when all these power problems started. My PC will drain the UPS battery in around 10-15mins, using it just to power a switch and the MM box on my roof I was able to get a couple of hours from it.
