Turkey defeats Greece 4-1

Turkey has defeated Greece four – one in last night’s 2008 Euro qualifying match.
Thousands of Greek’s attended the match which was played at the Yorgos Karaiskaki Stadium in Greece.
Although no Turkish supporters were present during the match, the Turkish national team kept their spirits high by defeating the Greek 4-1.
The historical win by Turkey came a day before Greeks celebrate Independence Day on the anniversary of the day The Greek War of Independence started.
Relations between Turkey and Greece, two NATO allies that have a long history, have been in tension due to disputes over many issues, especially the territorial disagreements over the Aegean Sea and Cyprus.
Now the Turkish National team will play against Norway on Wednesday.
