It won't cost you a penny, so play today; it could change your life forever.

Iraqi terrorists, Afghan dissidents, Albanian gangsters, pro-Pinochet

activists, anti-Pinochet activists, Kosovan drug-smugglers, Tamil tigers,

bogus Bosnians, Rwandan mass murderers, Somali guerrillas...COME ON DOWN!

Get along to the airport, the lorry park or the ferry terminal. Don't stop

in Germany or France. Go straight to Britain.

You are guaranteed to be one of tens of thousands of lucky winners in the

softest game on earth.

Everyone's a winner, when they play 'ASYLUM'.

scotsguy - this would be very funny, if it wasn't, in fact, only too true.

A nice rant, unforrtunately not borne out by the truth. Asylum applications are on their way down and are now are at about 30% of their 2002 levels.

The real problem in my opinion is the lack of detention facilities to hold seekers until their applications are properly processed.

Harold, I sure the spin machine of the government would like us to beleive that, however it is a government full of lies and spin doctors, Their totally incapable of telling the truth. I voted with my feet and left over 6 years ago, never to return.

The-Wicks comments are correct, I had the same reply from all my UK friends.

Asylum application is a detailed process and the information provided id largely accepted as accurate.

There is a tendancy to confuse Asylum seekers with illegal immigrants. This is an attitude pervaded by tabloid newspapers.

We as civilised nations have a duty to recognise the need for asylum but not to accept any illegal immigrants.

Funny isn't it everyone wants to come to the UK, even the french help them on their way to the UK, I'm sure they don't want to spend months/years in a french warehouse with the basic services, when the UK gives thems everything. Political correctness as mad and stupid as ever back there.

scotsguy,

i don't see why you need to include the tamil tigers?

have you ever met anyone who has been in a torture camp run by the sri lankan goverment?

i have and you want to here those stories before making judgement on the tamils!

they deserve asylum.

don't judge them before you fully understand the facts.

I'd rather have a foreign neighbour who arrived as a refugee and was willing to support himself than some half-educated, closet racist, xenophobic imbecile masquerading shamefully as a native Briton.

The thing about certain right-wing tabloid readers is that, being ignorant and xenophobic, they are so easy to manipulate.

Message 12 - Macha - and the bleeding heart liberals are not (easy to manipulate, I mean)? I'm sure we'd all rather have a neighbour such as you suggest than the "closet racist, xenophobic imbecile etc. etc. ............" that you talk about. However, we don't always get what we want.

Macha, that’s your choice, by the way I not half educated, I am a professional person. and certainly not a closet racist, ever meet my many friends you will realise that. Having lived and worked in many different countries (and still do), I have to fully abide by their laws and rules. I'm certainly not against anyone emigrating to Britain that go through the proper proceedures and criterial. Otherwise, I would then be a hypocrite, racist, xenophobic imbecile. I was proud of being British, but with this government and their failures, I decided to leave, we spend/waste millions on so called asylum seekers while other citizens of the country are ignored and left in poverty, with poor public services. As message 2 stated 'it would be funny, if it was not so true'. We did at one time however enjoy freedom of liberty and speech. But with the so called Political Correctiveness, dare to speak out against them, then your damned and wrongly accused of being a racist.

You are correct in the fact that there is a difference between Asylum seekers

and illegal immigrants.

Sotsquy

Some of your message is correct but there is some inaccuracy.

Britain is an easy touch. The problem is the illegals that disappear into

the underground and can not be found. Government figures IMO grossly

under estimated.

The human rights of people have to be upheld and proving that a person

has no right to asylum is not easy. Once their status is as illegal then

they should be returned back to their home land but any country sending

people back home have to prove that they come from there in the first place.

With no documents and an unwillingness to co-operate governments have

a hard job and the country of origin wont accept without proof. Not defending them just stating a fact.

A problem that wont go away until the UK government face facts and start

doing something about it.

Sassy
