A bottle of 19L from the army's canteen (Askeri Kantin) will cost you 1.75YTL, considerably cheaper than the standard Girne price of 4YTL.

There is a supermarket callled "Horoz", in Zodya/Guzelyurt, close to the Border crossing there. Products are much cheaper than Girne.

You used to be able to use the one on the west is best side of girne but they stopped it a year ago

19L refers to the quantity (as in 19 litres) and the contents H2o or commonly known as water.

We pay TL1 to have our 19L water re-filled in Tatlisu (TL1. if you do not have your container cap). Cheap as chips.

pretty good price........to think, in the UK, this would cost you £8 GBP (20 Turkish Lira)!

So north cyprus is 20 x cheaper than the UK when it comes to water!
