Should be no problem, and there is no problem, if you are a EU Citizen on an EU Member State passport. But why use Larnaca airport?? Awful place and badly run, and very congested on Wednesdays and Sundays. Better off using Ercan, nice and modern and no hassles, Geoff.

Even if Larnaca is badly run, it's less than half the price of flying to Ercan from Germany.

Never had anyone look at my passport, why should they as they are part of EU. You talk as if you feel you are breaking the law?

bazilbrush "You talk as if you feel you are breaking the law?" Under RoC law it is an offense to enter Cyprus via a port of illegal entry. As part of their accession to the EU the RoC made a comittment to not hinder the free movement of EU citizens but this law remains in the RoC unchanged and various officals withint the RoC have at times stated that the comittments made to the EU re free movement does not preculde them from prosecuting indivduals , EU citizens or otherwise, under this law. The discrepancy between this current ROC law and the comittments made to the EU by the RoC have not been directly tested in a court of law.

Don't forget the extra cost of transport to youir pad in the north! Even car parking at Larnaca is very expensive, if you can find a place. In practice I've found the overall costs about the same - with Ercan so much less hassle. Also MUCH cheaper at the cafeteria etc. Each to his/her own I guess, Geoff
