Is the Emlak Vergisi’ the local council tax you pay witch your water bills at your belediye?

Emlak Vergisi: Is the Property Tax and is due twice a year on the last day of April and September. However, I am sure the local Belediyesi will not mind if you pay one payment for the year.



Price is 1ytl per sqm (without pool) or 1.25ytl (with pool). These were the costs that we have been quoted up at the Lapta Belediyesi, so it may be different if you are in a different area.

As piggy stated Property tax is payable in addition to the council tax - Explained here http://www.hbpg-trnc.net/documents/Tax_property.html
