Regarding the recent Seaterra topics which have been closed or deleted, this board seems to be a conflict of interests for property purchasers who deserve to know about serious important issues with developers/builders/lawyers. It seems that all a developer/lawyer/builder has to do is write a cheque to Cyprs44 for advertising and they will get all negative posts removed into air or closed down. This doesn't help the poor buyers who could possibly lose their life savings, who should be made aware of important problems like mortgages etc. who deserve to know the truth. What a sad state of affairs. This does not help the TRNC economy or the TRNC as a whole, trying to sweep these things under the carpet.

cyprus-forum.com is general cyprus forum not one specific to the North. It is also privately owned by an indivdual and run as part of a set of wider commercial sites and thus is little different from this one in terms of potential commercial conflicts. There are alternative forums to this one that are both north cyprus based and essentialy non commercial , thus avoiding these potential conflict of interests. I do not know if giving links to such alternatives is allowed here so I will err on the side of caution, but they exist and can be found relatively easily.

I think the reason Cyprus 44 deletes certain postings is that it can not afford to get into protracted litigation with agreived parties. If it was a large successful organisation with large resources to fall back on it would be a different story. Maybe stevemac could give a financial guarantee to underwrite all legal costs possibly arising from his coments ?

I started this website and the forum as a hobby and I think it helped many property purchasers. The last thing I want would be trouble with a law suit from any company in North Cyprus because of something posted on the forums. I am all for free speech, but there is not much I can hold on to fight a law suit.. For what? To stop a bunch a people complain about me... I thank to people who understand my position. People who do not agree with me may stop using our website... Izzet
