I was just reading a thread about what to do in NC - does anyone know if the big hotels offer day passes?? The Colony for instance - might be good fun you know using their facilities - Any ideas.

Many thanks -

Jackie

Mercure do. £30 per day per person. Excellent value. All you can drink and all you can eat for Lunch and early evening snacks. It's a great buffet lunch by the way.

Acapulco is 20YTL if you go as a family it is very expensive, sometimes they will search you to make sure you don't take food or drink in with you.

In my opinion it is a rip off.

rowlo,

lovingcyprus jests not!

When I stayed at the Acapulco, they checked any 'Lemar' or 'Tempo' carrier bags that people brought in, to make sure that there was no food or drink in them (even coke and crisps!) - they insist that you buy the extremely over-priced items that they sell within the resort.

Of course, the more inventive amongst us soon found ways to smuggle in the odd bottle...

I'm not telling you where I hid mine, but it didn't half make me walk funny!

Keith.

Rowlo.....we are talking about how day visitors are treated...not how the rules apply to hotel guests.

Message 16 - I have heard before of hotel guests being searched and also their rooms. I have never stayed, so this is only heresay.

I think Pipie has a typo in her message, as she usually praises the place to the heavens.

Quite right these hotels search people bringing in cans and crisps.

I am embarrassed at Keiths comments. Shameless.

I wouldn't rush to get a pass at the Colony, don't get me wrong it is a very nice Hotel, we stayed there ourselves on our last visit but the pool is on the roof and is quite small with only a limited area for sunbathing etc.

The Hotel itself is fine but it is very quiet and not a lot happens there.

Cheers,

Alex.
