its all a matter of opinion , some say safe , others say its the most risky , dont touch it at all ,, i have acres of it myself and i know israelis who want only tmd ! , perhaps a risky investment , but for me a calculated one ... i dont believe it will be taken away from me and if it is , it wont be without me gaining something else . mayb compensation or turkish land in the south , depending on how a solution pans out , it may turn out to be the best investment there was in TRNC since its the cheapest.... so i dont know your motives , but if its peice of mind you want , just by turkish or foreign title , I personaly believe all land is safe becoz i believe in a future settlement where land and property issues will be solved , with either , compensation , return of , exchanges etc , etc

ah there you are cypwine ,, i was expecting you .. look its nothing personal ok ,, purely business motivated , yes maybe one day they will tell me return this greek land and take that turkish land or some other offer , since i bought in good faith , title deeds issued by trnc government and tmd is backed by turkey since it was 'martyr' points that they were aquired with , its just an investment , perhaps a risky one , but thats what investments and busines are , they carry a degree of risk , and normally the larger the risk the larger the rewards , I do hope in the end it all gets sorted out and everyone is happy ., really ...

we were offered some exchange land for free but didn't accept as we felt it was a bad investment to even consider building on it.

there is plenty of turkish title around, if you know where to look.

Been listening to the same old story ever since I arrived here 9 years ago even then never believed anything would happen. Can you imagine the greeks getting land back that some lost in 74. I am sure the turkish cypriots would have something to say about that having someone that may of allegedly killed their family next door. It would take years to sort anything out here it has been too long now and most greeks dont even know where their land is now as many have passed on. A greek told me a few years back that it is only a small percentage that have even bothered to find their land as they have a good life in the south much better than the time they were here. If your worried go to the south and see if you can register your land here which some people have done. It may cost you some money but you will have peace of mind at the end of the day.
