Any strange and wonderful funny cures for backache ? I do remember when my grandad got ill, my grandma used to rub thick lard into his back. He went downhill pretty fast after that

A lady came into the kitchen, sat down at the table, leaned forward, put her head in her hands and said to her husband "Honey, I feel terrible! My head hurts, my back's killing me and my left breast just burns and burns." He said "I'm gonna help you, Dear. I'll get you some aspirins for the headache, I'll rub your back with Myoflex for the backache, and if you'll sit up and get your breast out of the coffee, it'll stop burning!"

My wife bought one of those little electric gadgets that you apply to the area of the pain, switch it on to theprogramme you want and these electric vibrations go into the area that you have placed the electrodes on and it works .I have tried it a couple of times and it is very soothing.About £15 when I bought it..Kiwi oil is another could pain reliever.Issued to all Ozzy troops...

You can get Tiger balm in the UK. Not the patches though, only the rub type.

Dependent on the cause, arching your back as far back as you can tends to push any disc trying to rupture back into place. It works for me. Alternately, get smashed. You won't notice the back pain when you're drunk, and the next day your hangover will distract your attention from the pain in your back..................

Arthur. I tried that leaning back method in the supermarket queue the other week. I didn't realize I was standing close to the woman in front -she gave me a right dirty look and called me a pervert.
