hi taxi1010. i think if you use the ferry to alanya you would like it better. The ferry to mersin is NOT very nice .Dirty and horrible.

Agree with diane62, unless you really have to....DON'T! Even the lorry drivers hate it and they do the run regularly.

The Fast Ferry to Tasuci is much better. Noisy but just over 2 hours not to painful as there's usually a movie shown on the crossing. It's in Turkish but you can follow the action or treat it a smoving wallpaper. The slow ferries are a nightmare. No proper seating and long and teadious with nothing to do.

Travelling on the Fast Ferry is for foot passengers only. The Bus Station is a short walk from the Ferry Terminal and a regular bus service operates to Mersin.
