I have recently planted a lovely jasmine plant. Can anyone give me help on how best to look after it. Things like how much water does it need, when should I feed it, if at all, cutting back etc. Thanks a lot Carrie

There are many different types of Jasmine but the following link should get you started. http://garden.lovetoknow.com/wiki/Jasmine I stuck mine in, in Esentepe, in the winter and it is really going strong now after a slow start. I care for it with clematis rules. Cool, slightly moist feet in a well drained medium and a warm airy head but not too much direct sun. Go easy on the water. Too much and the leaves yellow and drop. Too much and the same result. Prune back in October/November. Take semi hard wood cuttings late spring/early summer. Depends on your variety though. Happy scented evenings. Chegwin

Chegwin, exactly what I wanted. Thank you so much and the website is now in Favourites. Just hope I do not kill the thing off (not green fingered at all) but I will care for it lovingly and hope the flowers blossom under my gentle ministrations. Carrie

CRB- If you have the white flowered variety pick a few in the evening and place them on your pillow on your bed. They leave a a lovely smell. It is quite hardy once established - and with watering in very dry spells once it is you should be able to enjoy for years to come. It can be pruned quite hard too. I have mine trained over an arch and it looks wonderful when in flower.
