My car mechanic spends most of his time playing tavla in fact I am sure he is not interested in running a business as he never ever seems to charge me for his time. Great setting, garage full of what I would call crap, old car seats around the table where he and his friends play and if you go in at the right time you also get treated to watermelon and bread. AJ,I'm afraid that's what Tavla does to you.I was hoping some Brits would have formed a club and meeting place to play.

I'm too slow to play the locals at this stage.

Go to http://www.jellyfish-backgammon.com and download the free program. Play against the computer program, you will soon brush up your old skills and learn some new ones, especially if you set it at skill level 7 (the highest). You will also soon get much quicker. Good luck.
