please please do not get hand diggers in i know of 10 people who have and still have no water because as soon as they hit water thats it off they go not leaving it deep enough to put a pump in then charging more to dig deaper mine was dug using an auger took two hours went 4 meters below the water table never had a problem with water cost £1000 including pump

my brother -in-law who is a water engineer ,said that alot of the problems with he wells are that they are dug in the winter and therefore you get to the water quicker and then when the hot weather comes they run dry very quickly. He says that if possible get your well dug in the summer and you should have a good supply . Ok thats if you find water in the first place, but it does sound like a sensible thing to do !! hope that this helps

Yorgozlu, Jazzaktai seems to have a much cheaper price than you quoted. What is the reason for this massive difference. Can you ask your friend please ?/

ok Pearlbuyer:(curosity got better of me and I rung him)

Here is his answer

THIS IS NOT A "DIG UP ANG GO IN TWO HOURS"job

We dig up find the water

Make a reservior

fit the pump

Concrete pluster it all the way

This one will not collapse in 2-3-5 years like the ones dug up by auger

From what he is saying "buy a merc and drive for 20 years or buy a ford and change it every 3 years "comes to mind

But each to their own

Hope the info is helpful

pearlbayer:

and to whom it may also concern

by having your well dug up by auger and going 4 metres below water level is one of,you will never be able to repair nor be able to clean it, which is inevitable ,without taking eveything out again

4 metres extra dept by auger would give you 4 tons of storage

1 metre by hand would give you 9 tons of water storage

To repair or clean one done by auger would cost 3-4 times more

You cannot channel horizantaly by auger, can manualy via compressor

All above has to be taken in consideration

But above everything, we all have to live by our means

But above all that,we all have to live by our means to true why waste 3500 on a large whole only good for putting your rubbish down i can show topten 10 dry wells that have been hand dug ranging from 3500 to 8000 stg 1 metre by hand would give you 9 tons of water storage

blah blah

I know of 3 wells dug in the last 2 years and mine was 3 years ago. They were all divined by an old Turkish guy who charges £50. All the wells produced water and are still doing so - mine got down to about 0.6 metres per day last summer but it is back now to 1.3 metres per day. All were also augur dug although that is irrelevant. You can get the Turkish diviner through Mehmet Gagari, the Karsiyaka water supplier. His phone no is 0542 852 4940. Gagari will also quote you for digging the well. I suspect Gagari is the guy mentioned in posts 10 and 11.

Please dont take that sort of attitude to my comments

One thing I wouldnt let my friend do is to let anybody down

All I am doing(trying)is helping both ways,

This person gets subed by above mentioned company to do the work

I've seen few of his work and they are funtastic

Do preciate the fact that, there are enough cowboys out there, which is what keeps this guy going.

As for my comment"we have to live by our means"I cant spend what I dont have

I dont see anything wrong with that comment, other than being honest

He has got few jobs from forum, the comments from them would make you decide yourself about what I'm saying(good/bad)
