Hello all just wondering if anyone had any numbers for taxi companies operating out of esentepe which will take you to Kyrenia and how much it would be as my wife and 2 children are coming out on monday 7th April and staying in turtle bay esentepe and my wife will not be driving and she would like to visit Kyrenia and check it out for the first time and also any recommended restaurants in the esentepe area

Hi Daver

There is also a bus service which runs from Esentepe to Girne. The bus will stop anywhere along the route.

With regard to restaurants then unless you have transport you are very limited. There are some in Alagadi which aren't too bad. Obviously the nearer to Girne you go the more choice you have. The golf course opposite TBV is open to non-members and I believe the food is very good.

have used the resteraubt in the golf club for lunch and dinner and indeed just a drink,its good although lacking atmosphere if quiet.

Yes the golf club for dinner was excellent but agree with berty - very quiet - that was back in October though not sure how busy it is these days.

it was the same in February but perhapsif we all agreed to go at the same time perhaps we could liven it up somewhat. Its the only place close to Esentepe that we havemanaged to get a decent bottle of wine. If you reside in Saudi like we do you will appreciate how important that is LOL.

I note that the family have children, has the golf club relaxed its rules that I believe did not allow children into the restaurants.

hi daver we use the esentepe villa hotel for airport pick up £35 each way larnaca they will arrange hire cars and taxi service or pick up and drop off free to turtle bay if you want to have a meal and want a drink ive found them the cheapest and they have never let us down the lady is called sue we just email her tell her the times and flight numbers and they meet you at the airport if you need any telephone numbers i will dig them out bob

If your travelling during the day (the last bus home is 6 PM) its a much cheaper option at YTL 4 each way.

Esentepe Taxi, I'm a bit confused by 2 of your postings, one says 100ytl Larnaca to Esentepe and the other says 80 - 100 sterling. Could you let me know how much for single trip from Larnaca to Esentepe as I know a couple who are interested for November also single trip Esentepe to Larnaca for another group at beginning of August.
