A lady who is renting my house in Ozankoy seems to be being overcharged by Kibtek. Does anyone know how much per unit ( or KWH ) the standard rate should be in the Ozankoy region. The house is not new and not on builder's electic so the rate should be the same as anyone else living in the area ( in theory ! ). Thanks

The unit rate doesn't change regardless of where you live. This is the domestic tariff 1st 250 units @ 0.30 TL each Next 250 units @ 0.35 TL next 250 @ units 0.38 TL over 750 units @ 0.50 TL Other charges on top Service charge + KDV. The rates are higher for different tariffs like Business & Builder rate is over 0.50 TL per all units. Don't know the current Builders tariff rate because I'm not on it. The tariff wouldn't suddenly change. What's being charged now should be the same as was before. Hope this helps.

Hi, just a slight clarification, regarding the number of units that you are allowed in each price band - I did mention it in another thread recently, but they disappear off the bottom of the page very rapidly! It is calculated on the basis of 8.333 units per day, on the interval between meter readings. So if your meter is read on the exact same date every month, then the bill for March would be for 28 days, and you would get 28 x 8.333 = 233 units in each band. A 31 day gap between readings would give you 31 x 8.333 = 258 units, and so on. Occasionally, around holiday times, and Christmas, the period can vary quite a lot. I usually find that the December reading is earlier than normal, while the January reading is later - I have seen variations from 25 days (208 units) to 38 days (317 units - this was in July this year...) It does work out fairly, even if it's a bit of a shock sometimes, if you haven't been keeping track of meter reading dates. Keith.
