as from tomorrow, Cyprus44 is having to change it's name to: "H & N Computer's message board", because of all the postings they put about the services they provide.... Having read their repeated postings, i've decided to have them as my specialised subject on Mastermind.... High ho...

Mess 2: the reason that there is a spelling mistake in ONE of the H&N Computer's is because the other belongs to my wife and we wanted to have 2 usernames under our company name and yes we are trusted to repair computers we have a team of repair men thats microsoft certified.

booitsme....maybe you should check what you wrote - doesn't really make sense! Plus we are allowed to make spelling errors as we speak and write both turkish and english fluently.

Msg 4 said "yes we are trusted to repair computers we have a team of repair men thats microsoft certified." Not trying to be funny or anything but Microsoft certifications are for various aspects of their software and software design using MS products. There is no such thing as MS certification in hardware repair. List of subjects MS offers certification in are listed here http://www.microsoft.com/learning/en/us/certification/view-by-technology.aspx

Msg 7 said "We give up on people like this. If you want to try us out just come in, if not then dn't even bother putting us down on some website without trying out our services" I am not putting you down and I wish you all the best with your business. However you DID come here and make a claim that your staff were MS certified to do PC repair and the simple fact is there is no such thing. MS do not certify for PC repair. Like I say I wish you well but I would suggest honesty is a better long term policy than throwing around terms like MS certified repariers. Just some advice to two young newlyweds trying to start a business.

I have used H&N a couple of times. Always found them to be very helpful. Bought a wireless router from them recently which works very well and was half the price of comparable routers in other shops. Good luck guys !! Regards Paul

H&N Look at the list on the MS website, that I already posted of what MS offer certification in. There is no certification for PC repair, or for 'servicing' whatever that means or for health check. Please do not take this the wrong way, I really do wish you well and am trying to offer constructive critisim. Saying things like 'MS certified for repair' or 'MS certified for servicing or health check' will only result in people like myself being less likely to use your services than more likely, because there is no such MS certification. What will make your business sucessful in my view is good solid customer satisfaction and support and not bandying around terms like MS certified that are at best meaningless (without saying in what) and at worse decptive. Just my personal opinion , posted in public in response to your own public posts.

Erol....to be honest your opinion is your own opinion. WE do the repairs ourselves - repairs as in repairing a broken hard drive, a broken monitor, a broken PC or Laptop, programming is a completely different thing, programming as in Formatting a PC or Laptop which is done with Windows Mircosoft software etc. To be honest, we have many customers and hardly ever received one omplaint on our services....so as I said in my previous comments please stop trying to put us down. There are many service/technician guys who have advertisements in various newspapers and websites which say MS certified....maybeyou should phone them and explain what you're trying to explain to me because honestly it doesn't make no sense to me. Thank you.

H & N Computers, It is very hard to set up a new shop these days and I am very pleased to see young people trying to make an honest living. You deserve all the support you can get. However, my advice to you is that if you wish to be successful in life and I hope you are, the key is hard work plus the ability to listen and understand what others are saying to you. The messages from Erol above is a good example. He pointed out to you and quite correctly so that MS do not give certificates on hardware repair. Therefore it is wrong or at least misleading to claim that you are MS certified repairers. He has a valid point and you should take it on board rather than become defensive and accuse Erol of trying to put you down. He is not against you and neither am I. I wish you all the success. ismet

Hey ismet, I think everyone has misunderstood what my partner has said. We are the repairers(me and my husband)....however we have 2 guys that work for us (part timers) which are ms certified. I am listening to every comment made...however I think people are not really understanding what Iam trying to say. I appriciate the time and effort people are making towards the posts are have sent out.

Ismet I was typing something similar but not so eloquent! H & N Every best wish, it is only a dispute about innacurate terminology and I am sure that Erolz means you no ill will. Harold2555

H&N I like Ismet really do wish you well. We need young people to come here and start and run sucsessful businesses. It would seem from the recomendations from long term posters here you are off to a good start and offering people good service. Well done. I am trying to help, I really am. Saying that you have MS certifed guys is really meaningless. Its like saying my workers are qualifed. You have to say in WHAT they are qualifed or certifed for it to have any real meaning to anyone. To imply by intent or mistake that they are MS certifed in repair (or servicing or healthcheck) is to mislead potential customers, never a good idea. I am well aware that other people in this market space throw around the meaingless 'MS Certifed' tag when advertising their services and if they were to do so here I would respond in the same way I have to you. Keep giving good service and look after your customers as you seem to be doing and you will prosper.

H & N Computers how much would you charge to replace windows xp with ubuntu. I have an old laptop and would like to try it out first. My email is tony@thepiedpiper.uk.com. Good luck by the way, I know its very hard for people to move over here and setup a business and try and earn an honest living . Its bad enough trying to deal with the authorities and then once thats done you get people slagging you off before they ahve even tried your services.

ataturk if you just want to try out linux and your old laptop can boot from CD you might want to try http://www.knoppix.org/ Basicaly it is a linux distribution designed to boot up and load the linux os from CD without having to instal anything on the laptop. Its perfect for 'sucking and seeing' if linux is for you. Download it , burn it to a cd or DVD then boot from the CD/DVD and if you dont like you can just boot the laptop from the HD to windows as it always used to be. No need to mess around with partitions, dual boot loaders or any of that. Boot from CD you in linux. Boot from HD and you in windows. Might suit you ?

Hi Ataturk, However....regardless of whether or not you can do the bootable CD yourself (mess from erolz), if not we can do it for you for 35TL plus a free anti virus. Thank you for your comment also
