| I got from our local library the Berlitz tapes to learn some Turkish - its very good. You can also get the Linguaphone CD's too! I am sure you will find a Turkish tutor being in central London though but these might help you at home too! |

| hi daver its not a long shot because i grew up around that area, you are not wrong about the turkish community in green lanes running from palmers green to newington green aswell as hackney!!!! lol firstly you can pick up the tukish english newspaper named toplum or posta, there is also a turkish school which is attended by the young and old this is located in tottenham just off the lordship lane on the langham road the name of the school is langham buy it might have changed its name since i used to live there, the best way of getting there is if you are driving from finsbury park and just before turnpike lane tube station you can do a right at the trafic lights right opposite the park travel down that road for about 1/2 a mile and you will come up to the road just before black boy lane mini roundabout they hold classes their every saturday, there is also the cypriot community centre directly opposite wood green police station and the nightingale pub down a dead end road they also offer turksih classes there too hope this helps you reagrds ukturk |
