We are moving in to a villa this weeend and would like to buy some nice pictures for the wall, does anyone know where we can buy some in the Girne area

If you were coming into Girne from the east, turn left at the first roundabout and straight through the trafic lights. There is a shop just up on the right hand side which has a very good selection of paintings on the second floor.

Try Ozankoy Bookshop where you will find paintings and drawings by Mark Burton who is an amazing artist

Lambousa market on Saturdays from 10 till 1pm. Several stalls selling vey nice paintings including local scenes if that is to your taste.

Try Amanda's Auction loads of second hand pictures there. Open most days 10am to 4pm when you can buy and viewing on Friday and Saturday 10am to 5pm with the auction on Sunday from 10am.

Yes....In the 2nd road that leads from the Girne high street to the front, opposite the Kibtec company office is a rather nice shop with lots of matching "etceteras" for decorating a house. One line they have is abstract ceramics on canvas around 270 ytl. is a good selection of colours.



At the top of the Hi street across from the back of the Beledye office (near the big car park) there is another similar shop again with "moderernistic" decor. Some of their artwork is over a metre in length.

Neither of these places sell traditional watercolours though lol

Amanda' Auction is in Ozankoy. Travel up the road as though going to Bellapais, at the small roundabout past Altinkaya Hotel go straight over and take the first on the left, you will see it on the right hand side. It is a large warehouse. Or give them a call on 0392 8160799, 0542 8812801

Hope my directions are good enough for you to understand, there is a lovely little shop just as you leave the main center of Girne after the court house maybe about 300 metres towards the Pia Bella and Molly's on the same side it sells lovely pictures, paintings, prints of old Girne (Kyrenia) it also does framing, we have always found them to be good quality and not expensive, hope this is of help
