Would like to recommend the Rose Garden (opposite Rumours) in Ozankoy. It is a lovely setting and the food is excellent. Lamb chops (Pirzola) to die for, marinated for 2 days and so tender they melt! Mezes are excellent. The owner is a lovely man so if you are looking to experience local food, well cooked, and local hospitality - then this place is a must.

Hi Smithy It is in the middle of Ozankoy village directly opposite Rumours carpark. If you follow the signs for Rumours, in the village, then you will find the Rose Garden. Hope you have a good evening, we have never had a bad meal there, and the courtyard really is lovely. Look out for the gorgeous Angel Trumpet plant which is a double white, and unusual - we have been promised cuttings in January!

Our favourite place when we go out, but have to avoid the evenings when live music is on elsewhere. Food , service and hospitality excellent. Prices right too. A lot of hard work goes into the preparation and cooking of the food. Have been going there for about 20 odd years. Hassan an excellent host and friend.

Left at 1st road the Rose Garden is on your right about 150 metres .. Rumours on the left 20 metres further on .. Think you can follow signs for Rumours .. |

Can someone extend kind Regards from Mark & Maggie to Hassan. We remember him fondly from the days of Sgt Osman. His food ( and company ) was enjoyed 25 years ago.

You couldn't have been in the right restaurant, Hassan does not do "starters". They have a fullmeze hot and cold and a main course. With drinks it usually comes to about 70tl for two!! Why did you not query the bill if you were not happy?

Bridie, I was starting to wonder that too - the prices, for what you get are always reasonable I think. Bumbum, you are not mixing it up with Happy Garden are you, which is also in Ozankoy...although again, yes, I think that you should defo have queried paying £40 for 2 starters and a few drinks......even the Savoy would not charge that.
