There are supposedly bailiffs here, use the search button above and you'll find reference to them. The article in NCFP was to allow people to post to see which rental companies here actually do the job they're paid for, e.g. chase up tenants who do not pay rent. Tenants give their passport or kimlik card number so it might be easier for the police to trace those who steal the furniture. I think Smity is right, it's much the same as in UK.

Just to remind people about the new comment rating system on http://www.northcyprusfreepress.com. If a poster gets enough negative comments then their post fades and you have to click on the comment to read it. So far GCs are receiving almost no negatives for their posts but Campbell Thomas (Sgt Pike) is the first to get a poor comment rating and therefore be faded into obscurity.
