What a wicked evening and a lot better for being outside this year. The atmosphere was superb and the three great acts got the crowd going. No trouble just hundreds of people of all nationalities enjoying themselves.

Cannot wait until next year.

I met some great people and caught up with ones that I met last year.

Well marketed as usual .. or not as it may seem ..

Didn't go myself ... this year .. seen the last .. 3 or 4 .. but the acts were not up to much... not really Blues in the true sense... I use the Cajun experience as a good example... or was it Zydyco? .. something like that...

What interested me in your posting was, you mention it was outside.... bet that was good... the previous have been totally smoked out and that comes from a 5 a day man .. ok .. 10.. ish ...

ps. .. will be seeing Gary Moore on 1st Nov this year.. .. .. bloody fantastic..

'why wasnt it put on events'

Perhaps Efes are not aware of Cyprus44.

I will remind you a bit nearer the time as I did on the board a couple of times in the last 2/3 months.

I enjoyed the second band very much but as a show, for me, not as good by a long way as the other 4 I have seen. I agree the atmosphere was wonderful and all the better for not going home kippered

Yes it was much better outside and although the music of the last 2 bands was not what I would call true blues the atmosphere was great and a brilliant show as ever.

Hundreds of people there with no trouble at all. I personally prefer the zydeco style but I have never missed this event for 8 years and always enjoy it.

The thing that makes me laugh is that all of the acts appear to be primed about where they are (or are not as the case may be) with their opening rhetoric of 'Hello Cyprus'. They obviously are told not to mention the TRNC and I know that some TC friends of mine at the last festival tried passing messages to the groups saying that this is the TRNC but they would have none of it. I think the closest that any act got to mentioning the TRNC was with the opening announcement of ' we are glad to be here on the Northern shores of Cyprus'.

Amusing.
