I am trying to ascertain whether the storm reached as far as Ozankoy. Have noted others commenting about storm damage in Lapta so need to know whether I should get my house checked out for damage.

the storm did reach us in Ozankoy, heavy rain, hail so may be best to check your house. Fortunately we had closed most of our windows so only had a bit of water to mop up - pool needed some water taken out though

Just to clarify this post for people living in the UK. It seems that the storm yesterday was confined to Alsancak, Lapta, Karsiyaka & westwards. The storm today was on the East side Girne, Ozankoy, Catalkoy etc. In Catalkoy there was very heavy rain but no hailstones. Yesterday the rain was combined with large hailstones which caused damage.

Hi Judy As Scruff said a second storm hit TRNC this afternoon, this time reaching Ozankoy. Quite a lot of flooding of the roads, gardens etc but, so far, no reports of damage to homes.
