"The two had been there for the UN Summit on the Climate.



Speaking to reporters after the meeting with the Turkish President, Mr. Papandreu said they both welcomed the idea of increasing the dynamism towards the solution of the Cyprus problem.



“I told Mr. Gul that we need to show determination towards a settlement in Cyprus and he welcomed the approach”, Papandreu said.



Greece’s Prime Minister added that it is not easy to speak of a solution in Cyprus by the end of this year but yet said they will continue trying."
