Yes, and one young man has frozen to death in this kind of temperature after a works

night out in Lewis. Lost his house keys and was found in snow, rushed to hospital but too late.

Grandmother also critical in after being found curled up in a ball of snow. We hear all about

Europe but here in parts of U.K same things are happening. Yes -16 in parts tonight Snaefell

and we've just got snow.

The UK just can't cope with any adverse weather conditions.

It got worse! Hampshire: hundreds of cars abandoned last night. It's not thawing just freezing over at night so snow on snow. Today the snow was frozen in the North East - we don't get the best of the weather but we dont get the worst of the weather either. -4 tonight.

Easy Jet cancelled 200 flights from several airports. BA seems to be the coping better than others. Been out done shopping main roads clear but estate roads all iced up with packed snow.

I remember 1969 when my youngest Son was six weeks old and my daughter 2, the eldest was due to start school. I opened the door to 2 ft of snow. I got the push chair up 2 banks to the bus, got the eldest to school and bused back, fed the baby and out again to collect him. No one complained we just got on with it. 2-3 ft of snow was not unusual. Farmers helped to clear roads with tractors, Snow ploughs and gritters worked around the clock some digging tunnels in snow but people went to work and schools never closed.

Mid Wales, on the coast - cold but warm sunshine.... my youngest son having a winge "Why did we move here, it never snows!!" (translated that means he doesn't have a chance of a day off work due to adverse weather....)

its still here - more to come today. We had a wonderful white christmas. As it is freezing every night, we are not getting much slush.

The views are wonderful
