good children's doctor needed

i am looking for recommendations for a good children's doctor in Lefkosa. That wont just prescribe antibiotics at the drop of a hat.

The only paediatrician I know of and comes highly recommended is Dr Gulten Ercal and is in Guzelyurt her phone number is 0392 714 3378 (clinic)



A good GP however should be able to look at your child and if need be refer him / her on to a paediatrician.

Unfortunately I have only a list of the GP's in the Girne area at the moment but I am sure if you went into one of the clinics near you someone will point you in the correct direction.

To be honest i would travel to Girne if it was close enough to the town center so if you have any info that would be great.

If you want to e-mail me with details of what is wrong with the little one it will help me find the correct Dr for you. I can try today but will definitely be able to find the name of a paediatrician by tomorrow lunchtime near you if it is not urgent.

Our doctor is Suphi Hudaoglu in Lefkosa. We live in Kyrenia but since she was a baby we took her to Dr Suphi. He is brilliant, very helpful, explains everything to you - I always have many questions and he answers all of them one by one.

Hi my grandson goes to the doctor in cyprus life hospital,Dr Derin. We like her because she doesnot go by the book. The other doctor that he used to go to dıd every thing by the book, eg child must not have dummy! do not give water!!! (some doctors here say babies should not be given water to drink.)

Not been able to find out any more than the info on the last 2 posts. Might be worth trying these Dr's especially the one at Cyprus Life as she is nearest to you. However I will keep making enquiries.

It could be that the female doctor in Girne is one & the same, as another mentioned above, in Girne? Certainly this doctor I have detailed was obviously very popular.
