Is there a charge to use escape beach, there hadn't used to be, if so does anyone know how much?

P.S. As far as I know it's not free. Last year was 15 TL/day. Food and drinks should be bought there.

TheSaints: As far as I know the entrance to a beach in TRNC is free by law. Only when you use facilities you can be charged. Last year some people (locals and expats) had that law enforced by the police when they were refused entrance to a beach east of Girne. However, most tourists are not aware of their rights and pay where they don't have to. So, 10 TL is not cheap, it's too much.

Access to beaches is free everywhere, despite the bully boy tactics of the operators, call the police if they intimidate you.
